Jon Snow. So honorable. Please stay on the show forever.
I. can't. even.
This article about Jane Austen and Jane Austen Reads. I love some “facts and figures,” and this article is bursting with fascinating details about Austen, her characters, and her books. When’s the last time you read an Austen book? I started reading Northanger Abbey recently and didn’t finish it (I just wasn’t in the mood for that particular book at that particular time), but I’m thinking about trying Persuasion soon.
Game of Thrones. Wow. This season has been a veritable feast of omg moments, and I’ve been gorging myself on them like I’m me at…well, anywhere lately. This pregnant woman is hungry. I won’t go into details for fear that I’ll ruin your life with a spoiler, but storylines are coming together in thrilling ways. I’m excited and nervous to see where things go.
These articles on postpartum anxiety. As I've written on the blog before, once I had a baby, some of my previous anxieties morphed into other anxieties, and they were all concerned with my child’s safety and well-being. One of my best friends, Mary Catherine Starr, writes compellingly and honestly about the joys of being a mother, but also the incessant worries that fill our heads—from the biggest to the more mundane. And my amazingly supportive husband, Daniel, sent me a link to this article the other day. Women who are experiencing postpartum anxiety, it’s so important to reach out to a support network—in my case, it’s been my husband, a therapist, a psychiatrist, and my friends and family. Let other people be there for you. Being self-aware and open with others has given me great peace.
This video comparing Donald Trump Jr. to one of tv’s worst (and best) characters. Oh my. It’s so crazy to think that some of the most absurd characters on television are laughably (and terrifyingly) comparable to many of the people currently running our government. My question would be: who’s Buster?
Other things I’m loving: my LuLaRoe shop and shopping group; knowing that we’re having another boy this year (!), and watching my amazing sister play with my son last weekend.
